Vacancy Conference Program Intern

Intern Conference Program

Period: 6 months, from May/June until November (determined in consultation)
Work week: 40 hours

The Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) Foundation is the leading business platform for the electronic music industry and the world’s largest club festival for electronic music and dance culture. With over 200 venues, 3,000 performing acts, and approximately 500,000 visits from music lovers and professionals worldwide, Amsterdam becomes the global hub for electronic music for five days.

ADE organizes two conferences each year: ADE Pro and ADE Lab.

ADE Pro:

More than 10,000 music professionals from 150 different countries come to Amsterdam for this event. We host networking events and knowledge-sharing sessions, provide spaces for conducting business, offer master classes, and organize workshops. Over four days, attendees gain insights into the latest industry trends, engage in discussions on current events, and explore the culture surrounding electronic dance music.

ADE Lab:

ADE Lab offers a talent development program for emerging DJs and producers, as well as individuals seeking deeper understanding of mixed media. We also provide sessions for those interested in working behind the scenes of the industry. Through master classes, demo drops, specialist sessions, panel discussions, keynotes, and networking events, we impart knowledge to a new generation of talents.

The Internship:

At the conferences, there are 250+ program components and 750+ participants to be scheduled. Clear agreements must be made for all these guests, biographies need to be collected, and accurate descriptions must be written for our website. Communication with everyone must be precise, and clear itineraries must be created for all participants.

We are therefore looking for interns who work in a highly structured manner, have a professional attitude, and possess strong communication skills. Additionally, you should be able to work under pressure and handle stress well. You will work closely with the programming team and become the right hand of our project management team, which coordinates everything within the conference.

You:

+ Can maintain clarity during busy times;

+ Have experience organising events;

+ Stay informed about trends and developments in the (electronic) music industry;

+ Work in a results-oriented and systematic manner;

+ You are flexible and creative in finding solutions;

+ Work independently and proactively;

+ Are currently enrolled in a study program that allows this internship. A minimum of Higher Professional Education (HBO) level is a plus;

+ Experience with project management software and CRM systems is a plus;

+ Have understanding of Dutch and great communication skills (spoken and written) in English.

Please note: Availability from May/June to November 2025 is required, including during the summer vacation. Exact start and end dates to be determined in consultation.

We offer:

+ A large network within the music industry;

+ High involvement in meetings and work processes;

+ Hands-on experience on-site during ADE with the Conference team;

+ A high level of responsibility and opportunities for personal development;

+ A competitive internship allowance;

+ A pleasant, informal, and inspiring work environment in Amsterdam Noord;

+ Fun team activities and social gatherings.

Night culture and dance emerged from the need for freedom among groups that did not feel represented in mainstream culture. Inclusivity is in our DNA. ADE strives for diversity in its team, partners, program, and audience.
