All Access: Strategies for an Open and Inclusive Job Market, presented by NEXTSTAGE

Speakers: Iona Thomas (Doors Open, Resident Advisor), Freke Reimer (NEXTSTAGE, SOLID), Kevin van Windt (Based On Skills)

Moderator: Reinout van Gendt

This program explores strategies and programs to support people from underrepresented groups and cultivate a more inclusive job market.

About this program

The music and event industry consists of a wide range of businesses, from promotors to suppliers and from booking agents to clubs. For certain people, it is challenging to find a job in the industry, despite the industry’s urgent need for talent. We need a way to support job seekers, create a diverse and inclusive industry, and simultaneously meet companies’ staffing needs. In this program, we are learning from three initiatives that are bridging this gap.

Freke Reimer will share how NEXTSTAGE empowers individuals from all backgrounds to find a job in the world of events using a skills-based approach. Iona Thomas shows how Doors Open transforms access to opportunities and resources to drive equitable change in the industry. Kevin van Windt will address the obstacles people distant from the labor market can face and how to create an inclusive job market.
