Me and My Manager: Naomi Sharon (OVO Sound)

Speakers: Naomi Sharon (Artist), Jasper Cremers (Manager, Naomi Sharon)

Singer and songwriter Naomi Sharon is a force to be reckoned with. She is the first female artist on record label OVO Sound, founded by global super star Drake, his producer Noah ’40’ Shebib and his manager Oliver El-Khatib - and one year ago released her astonishing debut album Obsidian on that label to international critical acclaim. An intriguing, powerful, warm and colorful album, that showcases both an intimate, sometimes almost meditative, velvet electronic sound, and refreshing, infectious dance tunes with influences ranging from soulful house to amapiano, and dancehall and afrobeats to R&B. In Amsterdam she met manager Jasper ‘Djosa’ Cremers, an established music producer who created acclaimed albums for global artists like Dutch singer Giovanca, Surinamese virtuoso Ronald Snijders and Turkish star Karsu. Together they embarked on a dynamic and fruitful collaboration, building and expanding on her rising international career. During ADE Beats Naomi Sharon and Jasper Cremers will share the unique manager and artist journey they have embarked on. The work ethic, the relationship building, the artistic partnerships, the ambitions, beats, the e-mails, the phone calls, the skills, the paperwork and the creative process. An insightful look behind the scenes of an exciting and truly global artist career.
