Mainframe

Mainframe is an event and concept created by DJ/Producer Curtis Atchison of Midnight Society. It debuted in New York at Club Love back in 2006 and has been featured at several different bars & clubs throughout the city, including a five-year monthly residency at Keybar from 2012-2017. Mainframe has also been featured as a special event for the Winter Music Conference in Miami, Florida, as well as the Amsterdam Dance Event in the Netherlands. In January 2020, a special Mainframe event was held at Machine Nightclub celebrating the 14th anniversary of SoundGroove Records. During the pandemic, Mainframe moved to the web for a series of online streaming events on Twitch.

Inspired by the Back to Mine music series, Mainframe has been described as an industry gathering and musical jam session that started in someone’s basement, but eventually grew beyond its walls. The party attempts to bring electronic music fans and individuals with an interest in creating it closer to the electronic artists that make and perform the music on a career basis. Performers are encouraged to dig deep in their personal experiences and play the music that inspires their artistic endeavors. The end result is a lively and exciting event with dance party vibes, but in a more relaxed and intimate setting.

House and electronic music has made a huge cultural impact that can be felt all over the world. With so many massive parties and festivals that happen on a regular basis, it’s very easy for people to get caught up in the visual eye candy, the glitz and glamour that precedes much of the physical and emotional work that goes into putting together an event or even the first measures of a new song. No matter how large a party or one’s career can become, it’s always good to know there exists a space without the pressures of mainstream music marketing, formulaic algorithms and big room drama, to connect with other creatively ambitious individuals. Mainframe aims to be that musical home and intersecting point. DJs confirmed for this year's Mainframe at the Amsterdam Dance Event include Midnight Society (aka DJ/Producer Curtis Atchison), Sagia and Reginald Johnson with more TBA soon.

Please double-check the promoter's or venue's website to be sure you can access the event!

Yes, the Pro Pass grants you access to all ADE official festival events. Even if a festival event is sold out, you can still access the event with your ADE Pro Pass wristband. During ADE there are over 500 festival events and hundreds more cultural and conference events you can enter with the wristband. One thing to keep in mind is that there is a limited capacity that each venue can take into account for ADE Pro wristband holders. This means that, for some of the more crowded events, you have to arrive early to ensure attendance. Once capacity is reached, ADE Pro holders will be let into the event on a one in-one-out basis.

We dance together, so please be mindful of yourself and each other.
