What happens when Festivals meet Impact Start-Ups?
Speakers: Jiska Bazuin (Fundraising & development, Oerol), Esmee Bouwmeister (Sustainability manager, DGTL & Revolution Foundation)
Moderator: Linda Vermaat (Innofest)
In this panel, DGTL, Oerol, and Innofest will share key lessons and insights from supporting and testing innovations aimed at making festivals more sustainable and inclusive.
About this program
Do you want to use innovations to make your festival more sustainable or inclusive? But how do you work with early-stage startups who themselves still need to learn exactly how the market and their product work? At a time when the world is facing major challenges around climate change and social justice, it's time for action!
DGTL, known for electronic music in an industrial setting, and Oerol, celebrated for its multidisciplinary arts in an idyllic environment, have supported ten innovations over the past two years under Innofest’s guidance. They utilized their festivals’ unique environments, diverse audiences, and communication channels to provide valuable feedback. DGTL and Oerol had much more in common than they initially thought. In between testing at the festivals, the innovations worked on improving their product or service.
The panel will reveal how these collaborations led to significant lessons and improvements, sharing both successes and mistakes to inspire more sustainable and inclusive festival practices.
