Hands-On Techno: Live Electronics with Hardware by Amanda Chang
In this workshop by Amanda Chang, we'll be returning to the roots of electronic music production by touching and playing all things hardware. Giving you an introduction on working with physical pieces, this is a hands-on workshop to give you the ins and outs on implementing hardware into your creative process. The "Hands-On Techno: Live Electronics with Hardware" workshop seeks to emphasize the importance of cultivating fluency with hardware instruments in electronic music production. In an era where software dominates the landscape, the tactile experience of interacting directly with physical knobs, buttons, and faders fosters a deeper connection between the musician and their music.
By prioritizing hardware instruments over software plugins, this workshop aims to instill a more intuitive and fluid approach to music-making. Unlike the abstract interface of software, hardware devices offer a tangible and immediate feedback loop, allowing musicians to sculpt sounds with precision and spontaneity.
