Ghost-Note
Line-up
Ghost-Note
Experience a live funk experience at ADE. This powerhouse band, featuring no less than eight funk masters, is fronted by the legendary drummer Robert ‘Sput’ Searight and percussion wizard Nate Werth from the multi-Grammy-winning Snarky Puppy.
But Ghost-Note is much more than just a funk band. With members who’ve worked with icons like Prince, Erykah Badu, Herbie Hancock, and Kendrick Lamar, they bring a sizzling mix of styles. Their sound fuses the pulsating beats of afrobeat, the gritty vibes of hip-hop, and the mind-bending elements of psychedelia, pushing the boundaries of funk like never before.
Since their formation in 2015, Ghost-Note has been unstoppable. Their first two albums, Fortified (2015) and Swagism (2018), rocked the charts and won hearts worldwide. And now, they’re back with their latest release, Mustard N’ Onions—a fresh and funky explosion that’s a testament to their ever-growing family of musical talents.
Ghost-Note is all about taking funk into the future. Inspired by legends like James Brown and Sly & the Family Stone, they’re here to set the groove on fire during Amsterdam Dance Event.
Robert “Sput” Searight: drums | Nate Werth: percussion | Mackenzie Green: vocals | Jonathan Mones: saxophone | Daniel Wytanis: trombone | Justin McKinney: bass | Peter Knudsen: guitar | Dominique Xavier Taplin: keyboards
The BIMHUIS is the place for pioneering musicians and curious listeners of all generations. It was founded in 1974 as a place to give Dutch jazz its own stage. Soon, it became one of the most important Dutch stages for improvised music. Nowadays, the liberal jazz blood has remained: in the BIMHUIS, rules are still being broken, holy houses kicked down and so-called boundaries crossed.

Please double-check the promoter's or venue's website to be sure you can access the event!
Yes, the Pro Pass grants you access to all ADE official festival events. Even if a festival event is sold out, you can still access the event with your ADE Pro Pass wristband. During ADE there are over 500 festival events and hundreds more cultural and conference events you can enter with the wristband. One thing to keep in mind is that there is a limited capacity that each venue can take into account for ADE Pro wristband holders. This means that, for some of the more crowded events, you have to arrive early to ensure attendance. Once capacity is reached, ADE Pro holders will be let into the event on a one in-one-out basis.
We dance together, so please be mindful of yourself and each other.
