BIIANCO: How I Play Live hosted by DJ Mag
Getting into Live with BIIANCO: Playback Rigs and Music Direction
Speaker: BIIANCO (Artist)
Moderator: Michael Wilson (DJ Mag)
BIIANCO is a London-based, LA-trained producer, DJ, and multi-instrumentalist known for their innovative approach to music production. Combining vocals and melody with harder, faster beats, BIIANCO's technical mastery and deep understanding of music theory set them apart. They gained international attention in 2023 when their live performance of "Against The Wall" went viral, amassing 35 million views. This success led to charting in over 20 countries, a Next Wave BBC Radio One Future Dance artist title, and a global fanbase of 200,000+. With a 2024 tour spanning Europe, the US, the UK, and Australia, and collaborations with top artists like Marlon Hoffstadt, BIIANCO's rise continues.
As the move from DJ to live performer grows more popular amongst dance music artists, the topic of creating a live rig and developing a full live show is very top of mind. Multi-instrumentalist, producer and DJ, BIIANCO takes us through live technology for those looking to build a live show as well as integrate live elements into hybrid DJ sets. Calling on their decade of live touring and musical directing experience across genres and a DJ set known for utilizing live acid bass and sampling, BIIANCO will dive into live technology, balancing live and DJ elements, sequencing, DAW-based & DAW-less options, click — and keeping an eye on the overall artistic flow of a performance.
