Find your mode of transport

ADE venues are spread across the whole city of Amsterdam. Whether you want to cycle around like a real dutchie or prefer to give your body some rest in between conference or festival events, there are various modes of transport that can take you from A to B. Pick your favorite!

~ To Amsterdam by train

From all parts of the Netherlands you can get to Amsterdam by train. Plan your journey via the NS website.

Do you come from abroad? When you arrive at Schiphol Airport, the easiest way to travel to the Amsterdam city center is by train; the station is located directly underneath the airport's arrival hall. The train takes you to Amsterdam Central Station within 20 minutes. Train tickets are available at the ticket office in the airport's main hall and/or from the yellow ticket machines.

Travel with ease from event to event by tram, metro, bus or ferry with Amsterdam’s public transport. Download the GVB travel app to plan your trips. If you’ve purchased the ADE Pro Pass, you’ll receive a personal discount code with which you can unlock a ticket in the app to travel for free during ADE.

Have you received your GVB free travel code? Then it's time to travel for free! Follow the steps below to connect the code to your GVB account.


Step 1: Install the app
Download the GVB travel app
.
When it's set in Dutch and you'd like to switch to English, go to 'Meer' - 'Voorkeuren aanpassen' - 'Taal' and switch to English.

Step 2: Add free travel code

Go to 'Tickets' - and scroll down to: "I have an action code"

Step 3: Enter the code
Add your personal promo code & 'Confirm'.

If you are requesting a ride from Schiphol, please wait for your Uber at the newly designated Uber pick-up. Follow the signs for ‘App Pick-up Point’ to find it.

~ Cycle around the city

Move around as a real dutchie! You can read more about cycling in Amsterdam here. Make sure to always park your bicycle properly in the designated bicycle spots or barges to prevent it from being removed by the local authorities.
