Celebrate Safe
ADE is proud partner of the Celebrate Safe campaign
We dance together, so please be mindful of yourself and each other. We expect an open attitude from our visitors towards other guests, regardless of their origin, gender, sexual orientation, religion and age. If you see or experience any unwanted attention, harassment or behavior of any kind that makes you uncomfortable, please speak out and notify staff.
Please keep in mind: we love being your annual host, therefore, we would like to ask you to enjoy responsibly.

During ADE, you can party endlessly. It’s easy to meet new people, friends, lovers, or perhaps people who aren’t your type at all. In any case, always show respect to those around you and to your own body.
Respect each other’s beliefs and differences
There is no room on the dancefloor for derogatory or discriminatory language, gestures, or actions, any form of harassment, racism, sexism, ableism, homophobia, transphobia, or any other targeted remarks or expressions. Value and respect all people and take responsibility for creating a safe space for everyone.
Know your limits and respect those of others
Know what you want and, more importantly, what you don’t want. Stick to it, in every aspect. Don’t let yourself be persuaded. Don’t stay longer than you want to. Don’t get in a car with someone under the influence. Don’t kiss or have sex with someone if you don’t feel like it. If it doesn’t feel right to use drugs while your friends are, then don’t. The same applies the other way around. Just as you have boundaries, others have them too. Don’t try to convince someone to do something against their will. Respect your own limits and those of others.
Take care of each other
Be kind to those around you. If you see someone being harassed, ask, “Are you okay?” Help them get to a quieter place or back to their friends, or ask the crew for help. For more information on sexual harassment, check benjeoke.nl. If you notice someone isn’t feeling well, take them to first aid or ask a crew member for assistance if needed. If we all look out for each other, everyone will have the chance to enjoy a fantastic ADE.
Love your body
And above all, love your body & Celebrate Safe:
- Get enough sleep and at regular times
- Do you have earplugs, and do they still fit well? If not, buy a new set with a music filter to protect your ears. More info at ilovemyears.nl.
- Stock up on some tasty and healthy snacks before the party, so you don’t need to head out afterward.
- Planning to use drugs? Get them tested in time. Check drugs-test.nl for a location near you. Come at least one week in advance, preferably earlier, due to high demand. You can still get tested during ADE week, but there won’t be time to send it to the lab if needed.
- Did you know that condoms have an expiration date?
- How are you getting home? By taxi, shuttle bus, or is someone the designated driver? Check your friends’ plans and agree on what to do if someone wants to leave early.
- Cancel the gym sessions; partying is already a workout!
- Remember: less is more, so make sure to schedule in some rest amidst your busy agenda.
- Take the time to read up on the risks of alcohol and drug use, so you're not caught off guard. For example, it’s illegal to carry hard drugs at parties and in clubs. House rules on cannabis may vary.
- Do a ‘check-in’ with yourself or your group of friends beforehand. Feeling good? A party can enhance that feeling. Unfortunately, the reverse is also true. Adjust your plans if needed and keep an eye on each other.
