The Circuit Group & LabelWorx present their varied ADE Program
The Circuit Group's ADE Lab Program
From vocal booth to dance floor with Aluna & Chris Lake- ADE Wednesday
Aluna’s 2023 album MYCELiUM earned her first Billboard No. 1 with 'Running Blind' on the US Dance Radio charts. A champion for Black and queer voices, she founded the record label Noir Fever following her 2020-penned open letter highlighting the lack of Black representation in the dance music industry. The multi-talent teams up with Chris Lake, the Grammy-nominated DJ and producer. Lake is also the founder of Black Book Records, which has helped elevate rising talent such as Cloonee, Miane, and Mochakk.
At ADE Lab 2024, this dynamic duo takes you behind the scenes of their tracks ‘More Baby’ and ‘Beggin’, emphasising the vocal recording process and production choices, revealing how they captured the emotional energy and rhythmic flow that define both songs.
Audiovisual Worldbuilding with Rebūke - ADE Wednesday
Leading up to his performance at the Ziggo Dome on the night of ADE Wednesday, Irish DJ and producer Rebūke is heading to the ADE Lab grounds to give us a sneak peek of the audio-visual spectacle at Afterlife Amsterdam 2024. After premiering his A/V show at Drumsheds, London, earlier this year, Rebūke has continued to develop and evolve the way his music should be experienced. By collaborating with visual artists Rebūke creates his visual universe that perfectly complements his fresh techno and sound design. All About Artist Management - ADE Thursday
Behind every fruitful career as an artist is a whole team, and a crucial part of that team is the artist manager. But what does it mean to be an artist manager? The Circuit Group has represented, managed, and promoted some artists for decades. Joining us at ADE Lab are six of their artist managers: Brett Fischer, Dean Wilson, Harvey Tadman, David Gray, James, Mike Kadziulis, and Noelle Van Nostrand. Each is responsible for managing artists such as Deadmau5, Anabel Englund, and Saffron Stone, to name a few. Together, the team will pull back the curtain and reveal what goes on behind the scenes, from finding the right artist to connect with to building a long-term artist career.
Independent Artist or Label-Backed? Finding your best fit - ADE Friday
As an artist, there are many decisions to be made. One big one is about how you should go about releasing your music. Should you go independent or sign with a traditional label? Maybe join a community-driven label or an artist-focused one? At ADE Lab Bradley Zero, founder of London-based, community-focused Rhythm Section, Toon Maartens, managing director at Sony, and many others share experiences about all the different options out there. This discussion will help you navigate your choices, find the right path for your career, and make informed decisions that align with your creative vision, goals, and values.
Next to The Circuit Group & LabelWorx' own program, A&R Director at The Circuit Group Charlie Tadman, will be present at the ADE Lab Demo Sessions on ADE Thursday and Friday.
