Paradiso returns with STOOR Live, Tribes and more in week-long ADE 2022 roster
Speedy J presents STOOR Live
Paradiso burst at the seams last year during Speedy J presents STOOR Live. The inevitable sequel is now confirmed with Dasha Rush, Rod20 (aka ROD), Rødhåd and Surgeon confirmed as this year's guests of honor.
The concept hasn’t changed: ‘techno patriarch’ Speedy J invites a few of his favourite and most experimental live artists to join him on his fully improvised hardware jam session, in front of an audience that is treated with a stage design to bridge the gap between artist and themselves. Spatial designer Karl Klomp is this year’s director of the event and is responsible for a team of light designers and video artists, which means this day is likely to go into the books as an immersive audio and video spectacle for those who enjoy the authenticity and rawness of modular electronic music.
Tribes
Last year’s inaugural Tribes edition had Paradiso filled with passion, sweat, and dancers. Cloud 8 and Ziongate combined their strengths of organizing events that center African electronic rhythms and the collective joy of dancing, to create one event in Paradiso where people are invited to come together and celebrate: Tribes. For ADE 2022, the two are back with their ‘magical dance ritual’ on ADE Friday. A party starting in the evening that takes you on a soulful journey from deep afro house to amapiano, gqom and afrotech all through the night, Tribes promises to bring together an audience that is just as diverse as its selection of artists.

CloZee
French producer CloZee hits the Paradiso stage to go on a journey of deep basslines, glitchy vocals, and rhythmic samples in a worldly solo show, as her Nouvelle Era tour makes a stop in Amsterdam for a live show on ADE Thursday. Bass, but with a deep melodic and dreamlike character: the French Chloé Herry brings her music to Paradiso for the first time this October. Her eclectic mix of world music and trap tunes is for those who like to dream a little during a live set, while still being grounded by instruments like the classical guitar.
Anjunadeep
Founded in 2005 to create more space for a deeper and more progressive sound within the Anjunabeats label, Anjunadeep has grown into a staple in the field of melodic dance. There's no lineup just yet (stay tuned!), but during Amsterdam Dance Event 2022, the label is set to host Paradiso's Main Hall for an all-night takeover.
