Amsterdam’s Northside has seen a lot of development over the last few years, and it is fast becoming one the most popular hubs for music and culture through a mixture of (temporary) bars and clubs, venues with industrial allure and cultural hubs in the form of the Overhoeks area and the NDSM Wharf that are pushing the musical envelope.
Homeless Homies | Shelter | 10:00 - 20:00
Across the IJ, tucked away underneath the pavement at the foot ADAM Tower, you’ll find underground (literally) club Shelter. The venue is preparing for an action-packed ADE as it will host a range of legendary DJs. Today it’s the scene of a full on musical marathon. By day you can find Ben Sims, DJ Bone, Dubfire and Peggy Gou at the fundraiser event Homeless Homies, and by night you can hear Marcel Dettmann and DJ Stingray at the 20-hour marathon Bad Manners.
STRAF_WERK x Kölsch | Kromhouthal | 23:00 - 07:00
Way back when, the historic Kromhouthal was a factory that built marine propulsion engines. Tonight, almost a century later, the (huge) event location is at its best when propelled by 120 BPM ventures in melodic techno. Drop by to hear masters like Henrik Schwarz, Kölsch and Patrice Bäumel at work.
PIP goes SkateCafe | SkateCafe | 22:00 - 05:00
SkateCafe became one of the emblems of the Northside's uprise in Amsterdam nightlife. This night The Hague’s PIP crew is coming over for its yearly take over. Expect to find Chip E, DJ Pierre, Lauren Hansom, Philou Louzolu serve up a broad range of (Chicago) house an other rhythms from the bar’s hallmark skate ramp in the back of its spacious room.

Young Marco and his motley crew of friends are back at Sexyland once again. The venue, a wooden shed in the midst of NDSM’s ADE action, will serve burgers and strange sounds from Amsterdam throughout the evening and night. Some of our capital’s underground all stars are set to perform, namely Artis, Ben Penn, Dazion, Darlin, Gilb’r, Max Abysmal, Woody’92 and Young Marco himself, who are setting you up for a sweaty endeavour.
Into The Woods Festival | NDSM | 15:00 - 23:00
The Into The Woods crew is specialised producing otherworldly decors to go with their musical programming. They’re taking over the NDSM wharf for the third time in a row for another two-day ADE adventure, kicking off this afternoon with Detroit Swindle, Maya Jane Coles, Paranoid London, Project Pablo, Roi Perez and TITIA to name a few.
