Calling on all nightlife advocates: SAVE THE NIGHT with Jägermeister

Tuesday, 10 September 2024
The night isn't just a time of day; it's the foundation of electronic music culture and needs to be nurtured. That's why Jägermeister's global initiative, SAVE THE NIGHT, is dedicated to promoting safety, inclusivity, and sustainability in nightlife. As SAVE THE NIGHT celebrates its third anniversary at Amsterdam Dance Event — echoing the German saying “Aller guten Dinge sind drei" (all good things come in threes) — Jägermeister is teaming up with London-based creative, manager, and moderator Elijah, to bring all advocates for dance music together during ADE.

Nightlife is central to Jägermeister, driving its mission to preserve and revitalise it through the SAVE THE NIGHT platform and Fund. At ADE Lab, Jägermeister invites nightlife lovers to learn how to leverage this Fund, which includes a dedicated investment of 100,000 euros, to empower communities and sustain our colourful culture after dark. In this session, Elijah will teach like-minded advocates how to apply for the SAVE THE NIGHT Fund and spark positive change in nightlife with the support and mentorship Jägermeister offers to outstanding applicants.

Empower positive change with Elijah

Jägermeister and ADE have been going hand in hand for years, and this year, the brand is stepping up its commitment to discovering new ideas and empowering nightlife enthusiasts with an interactive workshop at ADE Lab. Who better to lead this than Elijah, a key figure in the UK grime scene and a visual artist whose bold black-and-yellow squares on Instagram perfectly match ADE's own colour scheme?

Renowned for his creative vision and unconventional approach, Elijah brings not only a critical perspective but also valuable experience as a jury member for the 2023 SAVE THE NIGHT Fund. This year, he will guide participants through the essentials of applying for funding, with the SAVE THE NIGHT Fund as a key example. During the workshop 'Get Funded: How to Create the Perfect Application' at venue De Brakke Grond, attendees will gain practical insights on crafting compelling applications, maximising funding potential, and bringing creative projects to life. Held on ADE Thursday, the session will also feature a Q&A session, offering ample opportunities for engagement and personalised advice.

Without nightlife, there would be no Jägermeister

Jägermeister, originally created as a digestif in 1934, has evolved far beyond its traditional roots. Over the decades, it has transformed from a German herbal liqueur into a symbol of youth culture, and social bonding, deeply integrated in the context of global nightlife. Its bold flavour and identity have made it a go-to drink for those looking to celebrate, enjoy music, and connect with others in bars, clubs, and festivals.

However, Jägermeister’s role in nightlife culture is not just about being a ‘party starter’; it has also become an advocate for the communities that make up this dynamic world. Through initiatives like the SAVE THE NIGHT platform, Jägermeister has taken an active stance in supporting and empowering nightlife communities globally, ensuring their voices are heard and their futures safeguarded.

Jägermeister’s initiative to preserve nightlife culture began right at its heart, launching its first fund in collaboration with Berlin's iconic techno club and label, Tresor. The SAVE THE NIGHT initiative has since tackled nightlife challenges in Ireland, supported the Lesbian Bar Project in the U.S., and amplified nightlife voices in Japan. Its impact grew with partnerships with London’s fabric club and Resident Advisor, spreading guidance and know-how about preserving nightlife. As SAVE THE NIGHT evolves, it celebrates the unstoppable spirit of the night—because the night is far from over!

Nightlife is where Jägermeister comes alive. And with your ideas, this vibrant world is one step closer to being preserved.
