ADE Conference rounds up its first announcements
Following the recent announcements about ADE looking out for Cultural Collaborations and E&A Founders joining ADE University we continue with the first conference round-up of the year.
No doubt you've already read about the keynotes that will be given by Soundcloud’s Lisa Ellis and Pip Rush Jansen of Arcadia Spectacular, AEG Studios’ Raymond Roker, tech legend Roger Linn at MusicTalks, Amazon CTO Dr. Werner Vogels at ADE TECH and Hannah Wants at ADE HEALTH, and the fact that in order to make it as easy as possible to navigate our comprehensive conference schedule, we are introducing themed verticals for Live and Health on Wednesday, and for Labels, Publishing & Streaming on Thursday.
Alongside that, here are some panels that we haven’t previously mentioned.
To Sign or Not to Sign: That is the Question features artist Fidelity who clearly believes it’s right to sign to a label as she recently closed a deal with NovaMute, Roo Currier of IDOL, and Liz Muirhead of BMAT.
How to Grow a Money Tree will be taking a look at how successful people adapt to life after deciding they’ve had enough of performing or running a label/publishing operation. Panelists include serial entrepreneur Disco Donnie Estopinal and Detlef Kornett, head of the highly acquisitive and rapidly expanding DEAG. ADE Pro also features extensive coverage of the live industry with panels including Clubbing 3.0, which features designers Heather Shaw of Vita Motus and Romain Pissenem of high Scream, both of whom are famous for their forward-looking boundary-pushing work.
ADE Pro’s LIVE vertical will also be covering Radius Deals, which are, on one level, perfectly understandable as events seek to gain an advantage through the acts they book exclusively, but equally can be seen as unfairly affecting clubs that are included in the catchment area of the ‘radius’.
And finally, for now, Pro will feature the first-eve panel without panelists.
We The Audience is exactly what the title suggests, an opportunity for the people who don’t usually get heard to express their opinions, in this case on the value or otherwise of curated playlists, and get immediate feedback from the people around them. All you have to do to take part is to have an opinion!
The full program will be online in early September, with further speaker and panel updates to come in August.
