Following the last ten successful editions, ADE Beats has another thrilling program for 2022. The first program highlights have been revealed, including Cleveland 'Clevie' Browne, Avedon, Roselilah and others, so check out the confirmed speakers below and join in on ADE Friday for a full day of inspiring discussions and masterclasses from the world of hip hop, bass and beats.

Lilah Flipped Da Beat Yah – The Inspiring Story of Roselilah

Music producer Roselilah became the first Dutch woman to win the Grammy award in the rap category this year. At only 26, she has already built a successful international career, working with renowned artists such as Kendrik Lamar, 21 Savage and Smokepurpp. During this session, she retraces her path to becoming a producer with worldwide recognition, which started at the age of 12 making beats in her parents’ home. Roselilah shares her view on what helped launch her career: from the strong determination and risks she took, how she connects with the artists she works with, to her perfectionism and quality control in her productions.

Nigerian singer songwriter CKay’s ‘love nwantiti (ah ah ah)’, became an explosive hit in 2019, getting countless plays in clubs, and radio stations, as well as on social media. The label behind this release, Chocolate City, became the first Nigerian music company to attain a global music award. ADE Beats welcomes the label's Executive Vice-President Aibee Abidoye, who will discuss her strategy and creative vision in breaking talent on a global scale, sharing insider views on how her team operated on this specific case, and new projects they are working on.

Dutch producer, songwriter, and artist Avedon became an established and high-demand figure in the international music scene after relocating to Los Angeles in 2017, collaborating with names such as Chris Brown and Megan Thee Stallion. Q&A: Jojo Sonubi (No Signal, UK) - Pushing the culture forward

Recognised as London’s 'nightlife architect', Jojo Sonubi is a key driving force in the local music and cultural scene: throwing successful RECESS club events or launching the much-celebrated No Signal radio station means providing platforms to widely broadcast Black artists and creatives. Behind all his projects, Sonubi has the aim to empower the Black creative community in the UK. In this Q&A, he will discuss his current and future initiatives towards emboldening the scene, culture, and community of Black UK artists across borders, as well as the long-term resilience, creativity and community spirit that has been a foundational part of its creative history.

Flying Park – One Kingdom Under A Groove

In his career as a DJ and producer, Michael ‘Fellow’ Lampe has always nurtured his Aruban roots, even serving as a Senator of the Parliament of Aruba to improve the creative infrastructures and financial opportunities for aspiring music professionals in the region. This is still the case today, as he embarks on a new project ‘Flying Park’, based upon a free spirited creative and activist movement by the same name that emerged in the 70’s.

In addition to premiering his brand-new project during his master class for ADE Beats, Lampe will break-down his production process and musical influences, alongside colourful documentary shorts and quick-fire Q&A segments. He will also share his view on bettering the creative opportunities for emerging talents on the islands as in the rest of the Netherlands.

Fo Sho - Standing up for Ukrainian Hip-Hop

Since starting in 2019, the Ethiopian-Ukrainian trio Fo Sho has been making huge buzz in the local hip-hop scene with their energetic, harmonious, and hard-hitting rap songs and performances. Together with their manager Inna Gissa, the three young stars will share their story as ground-breaking artists who have been pushing the Ukrainian hip-hop scene forwards and making their first steps into a global career. An important theme in this discussion is the immense impact the tragedy of war has had on their life and work and how the worldwide industry ought to support their fellow Ukrainian communities.
