Yas Mayou (NL)

Yasmine Essed, professionally known as Yas Mayou, is an emerging singer/songwriter who has devoted the past year to honing her craft in the studio. Originally from the island of St. Maarten, Yasmine has spent the last 1.5 years living in Amsterdam, where she was discovered by Quesi Anim, A&R of Cruise Control Studios, after a performance at an open mic. Since then, she has embarked on a transformative journey, focused on developing her craft and exploring her unique sound at Cruise Control Studios.

Yas Mayou’s musical style is a crossover of Neo Soul, Psychedelic Pop, Afro Pop, Hip Hop and Electronic Music. She is currently working on her debut EP, set for release in early 2025. She also participated in the Buma Stemra Rise Up Songwriting Camp in March 2024, where she had the opportunity to collaborate with other artists, such as RANI and Savine, and refine her songwriting skills.

In addition to her solo work, Yasmine has collaborated with notable artists, including DJ Jeezy from Germany, contributing as a songwriter and vocalist on tracks scheduled for release in 2025.
