Yan Shapiro (UA)
Yan Shapiro is a 17 years experienced producer of events from Odesa, Ukraine. He organized 500+ events.
After the war began, he came up with an idea to place a food court with Ukrainian national dishes at the music festival to fundraise money for humanitarian aid in Ukraine. In partnership with Manon Kerkdijk and Shannon Schrader from ID&T, they made it happen at the Mysteryland! During this trip, he inspired to found the U-Nation company, which is focused on integration of innovations to the recovery of Ukraine and building international relationships.
Yan held a number of conferences in Europe and in Ukraine. Among them, Culture forum in Odesa. Together with the Ukrainian Review media they joined the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine to spoke in Berlin, where U-Nation held an official side event before the annual Ukrainian Recovery Conference.This September Yan launched the first startup accelerator in the South of Ukraine and became an ambassador of the Regional Development Agency of Odesa region.
For now, Yan is still running Odessa Students Fest, this is a biggest music events for youth in the city. And the first one which made a party with just Ukrainian music tracklist in Odesa. But the first 8 years of his career, Yan was a leading trance music promoter in Odesa, named Trance Industry.
Today, Yan is looking for like-minded partners to make a scale festival with innovations showcase exhibition and EDM music performance on the first summer after the war in Ukraine.
