Wijnand Speelman (NL)

After first hearing Giel Beelen on the radio, Wijnand knew he wanted to become a DJ. At age 8 he started playing with his 27 mc broadband radio receiver which he found a magical experience because you never knew weather someone was broadcasting of listening, or who were listening. Using walkie-talkies and scanners he learned how to use the radio in a professional way. After dj-ing on internet radio his dream came true in 2009 when he was asked to work for one of the biggest Dutch national radio stasions: NPO3FM. Alongside with his best friend Barend he started the show called 'Barend en Wijnand'. Nowadays Wijnand has his own shows on saturday and sunday morning and he is still working with Barend van Deelen on a friday late night show. Besides that, Wijnand is hosting every festival where 3FM is able to broadcast. Lowlands, Pinkpop, Defqon.1, Sziget Festival, Zwarte Cross and ADE are just a few names of places where Wijnand has showed his radio talent.
