When it comes to pioneering power couples in House Music, THE LOVE TEAM stands out amongst all the rest. Both Legendary DJs in their own rights, HUGO H. and FIRST LADY unite to bring pure fire and energy to the dance floor. Not only do they share their passion for music, they are husband and wife. Over the years they have collaborated on a few projects, created a label together, and formed other business entities as well. For years industry friends had suggested they team up, but it wasn’t until 2017 that the couple decided to team up on the turntables to bring their musical heat and passion to the dancefloor. Since then The Love Team has been in demand from the US to the UK. Playing festivals like 3YB Music Festival (US), Houseapolooza (US), Silver Room Block Party (US), The Hot Mix 5 Music Festival (US), Chicago House Music Festival (US), Amsterdam Music Event (NL), as well as, top rated radio shows on SG1 House, SG1 Radio, SG1 Soul (UK) and where both inducted into The Frankie Knuckles Lifetime Achievement DJ Hall of Fame. HUGO H. started DJing in 1979 at the age of 13 and First Lady followed in 1980, she was also 13. Together they have over 80 years of musical experience. Over the years Between the two of them they have collaborated on music with everyone from Marshall Jefferson, Mike Dunn, Lidell Townsell, Tyree Cooper, DJ Pierre, Glenn Underground, Maurice Joshua, Jesse Saunders, Farley Jackmaster Funk, Grand Master Flash and the list goes on. In 2013, HUGO H. released the underground anthem, “Chante Vs. James”, “Let Yourself”, “Moments in Dance” and “Wanna Get Next To Me”. Currently HUGO H. has releases on Kreative Kontrol Music, “Don’t Leave This Love I Got” and “U Wanna” and an EP on More About Music, “On To Another Time”. First Lady is also Radio/ Television personality, Educator, Spokesperson, Mentor, Billboard Award winning Radio Music and Radio Programmer. An International and pioneer DJ, the FIRST Female DJ to play House Music on the radio, and she was also a member of the FIRST ALL FEMALE House Music DJ team (The Fantastic Four) as well as, the FIRST Female mixer on Chicago radio, (WGCI-FM 107.5 in 1986). First Lady, or Khrissie “Hott Mixx” Henderson as she was known then, is also one of the FIRST females to record a house music record, “Used By A DJ” by MKII, DJ International Records 1986.
