Steffan Todorović (DK)

As the founder of several prominent record labels and one half of the influential duo Abdul Raeva, Steffan Todorović has quickly become a central figure in the contemporary house and techno world.

Originally from Denmark, and now based in Estonia, Steffan’s journey into electronic music began in the early 2010’s, co-organising one of Northern Denmark’s most acclaimed club nights, Groovebox. The series ran for five years and hosted artists like Funk D'Void, Triptil, and Niles Cooper, solidifying his reputation early on as a curator of unique dancefloor experiences. Not content with just club nights, Steffan also extended into the festival circuit. For three years, he spearheaded the On Air Festival; a celebration of underground music that brought names like Peggy Gou, Central, and Kebu to perform, adding yet another layer to his growing influence in the scene.

In 2018 Steffan started Abdul Raeva with Tallinn native Joonas Arro; a project that became pivotal in shaping a new wave of acid and progressive house. Alongside Gestalt Records, which he launched that same year, the pair have contributed to the revival of the prog sound, with one eye on the past and one firmly on the future. Over the next few years, Steffan would continue to expand his influence with the founding of Coymix (2019) alongside Timo Deeprhythms, Hidden Assets (2020), Terrazzo (2021) alongside Holly Lester, and Diskount Service (2023). Each imprint reflects a different facet of Steffan’s musical sensibilities, providing platforms for both established artists and emerging talents.

As a DJ, Steffan’ sets are known for their unpredictability, effortlessly blending forgotten classics with contemporary gems. Having shared stages with industry stalwarts such as Jane Fitz, Craig Richards, Octo Octa, and Liquid Earth, Steffan has become known for his rich and textured style that has captivated dancefloors as far as Asia, Australia and the Americas.
