Silvia Montello (GB)

Silvia Montello is a multi-disciplined music industry C-Suite executive, whose industry experience spans over 30 years, 20 of these in senior leadership positions at Universal, BMG, Kobalt/AWAL, Blokur, and Audio Network , driving commercial growth and operational success within the ever-evolving global music market. Her career has covered all areas of the music business ecosystem, across recorded music, publishing, performance and broadcast, operations and supply chain, music tech platform and systems development, licensing and rights management, royalties, M and A, physical and digital retail and more. Through this industry journey she has built a unique overview and insight into the complex industry infrastructure, interdependencies, challenges and opportunities to build back better.

Her recent industry roles were as Chief Executive Officer leading music industry trade organisations; firstly Association for Electronic Music, a global organisation covering every music industry vertical within the fast-growing dance and electronic music sector, and latterly Association of Independent Music, the UK’s trade body for independent labels, creators and entrepreneurs. Through those posts she held Board Director positions for UK Music and Impala (the association for European independent trade bodies) whilst working closely with sister organisations A2IM in north America and Worldwide Independent Network covering independent music organisations across emerging markets including Latin America, South-East Asia and MENA.

Having worked and lived through the huge developments of the last 30+ years in music, Silvia is now CEO of Voicebox Consulting and CCO of All Access Pass, focussing squarely on helping build the more equitable music industry of the future, for the two groups within it who matter the most: The artists creating the music and the fans who loving that music.
