He is the CEO and Founder of The Unit, South Africa’s leading entertainment-based holding company, a combination of enterprises that have been individually built to make brands better.

Amongst these is Anything Goes, the branded entertainment agency that aligns campaigns, properties and music tours with international brands and artists across the continent. Of the most recent and prominent events they’ve done are the 6 (to date) Corona SunSets Festivals in Ct, Jhb and Durban, with 2 more planned for 2019; also the Bud X MixMag Lab live-streamed events that have been taking place since earlier this year with the inaugural event featuring Seth Troxler.

Next up on The Unit roster is ULTRA South Africa, which brings 50,000 dance-music revellers together every year to see some of the biggest names in the world of music come to South Africa for one weekend of music and magic.

Shaun is also the co-owner and operator of a trifecta of entertainment properties: COCO, one of the country’s premiere nightclubs; think celebrities, Ibiza-style go-go dancers, Hip Hop MCs, and a parade of sparkler-topped bottles, this sits alongside its sister venue GoldBar, an elegant bar annex to COCO. Souk, the group’s restaurant and lounge in Long Street, completes this nightlife portfolio with a tapas lounge that brings a culinary component to these offerings, while sticking to its music-focused roots.

Realising the opportunity to offer a 360 solution to his entertainment portfolio clients, Shaun consolidated and is a partner in both Salute and Bella, the former an events and logistics supplier, the latter, a bookings and talent agency focusing on model and artist bookings, for Africa’s top events and venues.
