RUIZ OSC1 (CO)

Erika Andrea Murcia Ruiz, known in the electronic music scene as RUIZ OSC1, is a
dynamic Latin DJ and producer hailing from Bogotá, Colombia.

RUIZ OSC1's proficiency in vinyl mixing has led her to perform at some of Europe's most
iconic venues like Bassiani, Tresor, RSO, Industrial Copera, formats as Intercell and Vault
Sessions, to name a few.

Her journey into music was deeply influenced by her mother, a renowned music dealer
and singer who introduced her to the rich sounds of salsa, merengue, and classic
Colombian folklore during the late '80s and early '90s.

In 2010, RUIZ OSC1 relocated to Europe, carrying with her this diverse musical
heritage. She has since blended these influences with high-energy electronic beats,
creating a distinctive sound that is unmistakably hers—a seamless fusion of folkloric
rhythms and cutting-edge techno. Her style is characterized by its speed and precision,
offering a refreshing take on the genre she calls "folkloric groove techno.”

Along her career path as a producer, RUIZ OSC1 made her first appearance on KAOS
(Héctor Oaks' label) with a track on the "Ritualistic Discoteca" 12" collection and a solo
EP called "Grooveroots". This debut was followed by additional recordings and
collaborations with labels such as Emerald and Molekül, further showcasing her
evolving sound.

She is definitely one to watch and listen, with her authenticity and signature sound set to
guide crowds through a truly immersive musical journey.
