RNK (NL)

Artist
RNK took the first steps to his DJ career by experimenting with music by editing and mixing them with the computer in the late 90's. Still living with his parents at that time, they refused to let him buy his first DJ gear, because of possible distraction from school. In 2002 he graduated from High School and moved to Amsterdam where he got acquainted with vinyl through his friend DJ SteveZ. He purchased his own set of turntables in 2003. By that time he was already spinning in Bunnik, the largest Asian Party of the Netherlands. There was only one goal in mind: Spinning at all the Asian Parties in the Netherlands. Since then the gigs started coming from one party to another. Asian or non-Asian, big or small, he did em all. In 2006 RNK started the DJ collective SERIAL ILLERS with DJ SteveZ, DJ Shah, DJ Jay de Spindonesier and MC Ozzie Lazzay and got their monthly residency at Club La in Amsterdam till Summer 2007. Afterwards RNK began to focus on his personal DJ career and returned to the Dutch Asian scene where he got occasional gigs in Bunnik and residencies at the famous Asian Parties in Escape Venue (Amsterdam) and Thalia Lounge (Rotterdam) till 2010. In 2009 he joined the lineup of I Love Asian in Rotterdam’s largest club Hollywood Music Hall till the final edition in the summer of 2011. RNK has founded the AsianParty.Nu collective in 2012 with other renowned artists in the Dutch Asian scene and has rocked' the place at every major Asian Party all across The Netherlands. Since 2013 RNK has regular bookings at pioneering Asian Parties such as Asian Escape, HuMan Events and Asian Events Tofoe in Belgium. He is a resident DJ for the Dirty Asian events, with previous appearances by top of the bill performers Hardwell, Chuckie and Yellow Claw. Outside of Europe, RNK has appeared numerous times in Hong Kong, where he has performed for Beijing Club, Magnum Club and Club Dizzi.
