Rachel Collier (GB)
A one-woman electronic production machine and die-hard Ableton enthusiast, Collier is known for using a multi-instrument technical setup to enable her to perform her song-focused, high-energy studio productions in a live setting.
Performing on stage with two live percussionists and interactive visuals, or her alternative minimal live looping solo set, Collier has gained significant recognition and experience touring the UK and playing international shows in Paris, Berlin, Czech Republic, India and the USA. Show highlights include ‘Radio 1’s Biggest Weekend’ in Swansea and SXSW 2018 and supporting ‘Peking Duk’ for a sold out show at London’s prestigious venue KOKO.
Her self-titled debut album ‘RKC’ was released October 2019, accompanied with a feature-length documentary exploring life as an independent artist. The Album hit hard over the year receiving significant support from the BBC and PRS for Music, including the lyrically controversial single ‘Dinosaur’ being playlisted on BBC Radio 1 as BBC Introducing ‘Record of the Week’. The remix competition for ‘Faith Over Fear’ also received over 300 submissions from across the Globe.
On top of releasing and performing, Rachel’s passion and energy lies deep in the ever-evolving world of music technology, where she is supported and works closely with brands Roland, Teenage Engineering, Korg and Yamaha. She is however best known for her work with Ableton, having presented numerous workshops over the last three years, including a workshop and panel at Ableton Loop in Berlin 2017 and an online streaming performance presentation for Ableton #Loopathome 2020.
Now an established online music tech presence with 80k YouTube subscribers, Collier spends day to day writing and producing whilst simultaneously working with her thriving Patreon community.
