Pedro Guzman (DO)
Born and raised in the Dominican Republic, Pedro Guzman has been involved in music since his youth. A musician himself, he attended Berklee College of Music before going on to fulfill various roles in the music industry. During the late '90s, Guzman dove head first into the French house scene, promoting parties in the south of France. It wasn't long before he was offered a position at Sony Music, where he honed his industry experience before moving on to Universal Music Group. There, he led the A&R departments at Universal Latino, Machete Music and Capitol Latin, working closely with artists like Luis Fonsi, Enrique Iglesias, Chino Y Nacho, J Balvin and Don Omar, among others. Guzman is now Senior Vice President and head of A&R for Aftercluv, Universal Latin America’s 360 platform dedicated exclusively to global dance music. As SVP of Aftercluv, Guzman splits his time between working on marketing campaigns in Latin America for international artists such as Jax Jones, Felix Jaehn, Jonas Blue, Afrojack and Tiesto, to name a few, and spearheading the creative development of other Global acts such as Charly Black, Tom & Collins, Juan Magan, El Freaky & Sak Noel. In 2008, Pedro was voted as one of the Top 30 Executives Under 30 by Billboard Magazine.
