Palash Ahmed (US)
Palash Ahmed was appointed to the newly created role Head of SPT Music Development, Sony Pictures Television (SPT) in 2023, where he facilitates collaboration on music-related projects across multiple production groups at SPT. This role includes leading on music development initiatives for TV projects, production deals, and joint ventures, and he works closely with music artists via managers, agents, labels and publishers, to develop scripted, unscripted, and animated TV projects globally.
Palash began his career in the music industry as a Global DJ/Producer. He toured globally and produced/remixed records both solo as “Palash” and as “Saeed and Palash” for Distinctive Records, Colombia Records, Warner Music, BMG, EMI, Armada, Nervous, Tommy Boy, Star 69, Twisted, and many other labels. He also co-founder the house music label Addictive Records, and several nightclubs and lounges in Washington D.C.
He brings deep understanding of artists, labels, the music industry, and film and television industry to his role at Sony Pictures. Prior to this current role, Palash spent 5 years leading mergers and acquisition, and strategic initiatives across film and television for Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE). Prior to SPE, he spent 6 years as a management consultant with The Boston Consulting Group (BCG), advising leadership teams of global companies across US, Europe and Asia. Palash is based in Los Angeles on the Sony Pictures Studio Lot.
