Olivier Sasserath (BE)
Olivier Sasserath (MVVP, Brussels) has been practising in the areas of Intellectual property law, information technology and media & entertainment law for more than 15 years, both advising and representing clients before the courts.
Among others, he regularly assists clients in the fields of the music industry, motion pictures and advertising, as well as the IT sector and has extensive experience in litigating copyrights, trademarks and unfair competition.
In the music sector, his recent work includes representing collecting societies, music bands and music producers in various court proceedings and in contractual negotiations. He is currently representing clients in several cases pending before the ECJ in the field of entertainment and media.
Olivier is a regular speaker at international conferences and also publishes articles in legal periodicals.
He is a member of IAEL (International Association of Entertainment Lawyers), of the Belgian association of copyright law, of the Benelux trademark association and he is the former President of the IP/IT commission of the AIJA (International Young Lawyer Association) and an honorary member of that association.
