Meetch (US)
Meetch is a truly promising artist in the electronic music scene. He started posting tracks on Soundcloud, and it did not take long for people to notice him quickly as he gained recognition, leading to a series of performances at various well-known venues across NYC and LA, where he’s currently based. He also performed elsewhere, including traveling to the prestigious Kahbang Festival in Bangor, Maine, where he treated the audience to three memorable DJ sets. Meetch has had the opportunity to share the stage with some of the biggest names in the industry, including Skrillex, Deorro, 12th Planet, and Paper Diamond, only to mention a few. These monumental moments were achieved over the years of venues, festivals, and clubs he’s performed at across the USA. Growing up, Meetch has taken on instruments such as guitar and drums, which allowed him to dive into song composition and production.
On February 16th, In 2010, his life was altered after he was struck by a car while walking to his friend’s house on a snowy winter night. He was led into a medically induced coma while preparing for brain surgery. He finished sophomore year of high-school at home while in recovery. As horrific as this story sounds, this was a transformational moment in the world of Meetch. While still suffering from memory loss and full hearing absent in his right ear, this was the change where dance music became his calling. Returning to school for junior year, a new beginning has arrived. Loving rock and roll growing up, after Meetch made a full recovery, his love for EDM flourished. He attended audio school in 2013 and realized that this was the career for him.
His creative and musical mind has allowed him to rupture into the dance music world. He started DJing at sixteen years old and has never quit since. What makes him stand out visually is that he appears as a robot character, something that, over a decade, turned into a tried-and-true brand that's highly recognizable in the music community. His image has truly flourished, and it's here to stay. It's even more remarkable, considering it all started at a random moment on a beach twelve years ago. Meetch is notable for his talent and passion for music and his ability to combine Bass House and Tech House influences with several other styles seamlessly. His capability of being a DJ that can mix any genre at any time or place is beyond impressive. This comes from his private event experience where he is a master wedding DJ and MC. Meetch's sets are characterized by a punchy and pristine flow, which serves as a good example of his effortlessly diverse yet catchy and relatable approach. It is plain to see that Meetch has developed a deep understanding of the nuances involved in establishing a genuine connection with an audience through many years of gigging and performing. He is seamlessly able to offer an immersive listening experience, which allows him to fully engage with the crowd. Whether you catch one of his sets in a nightclub or a huge festival stage, Meetch always gives it everything he's got.
His energetic sets are quickly earning him a larger following, especially as he has taken over some of New York's hottest nightclubs, such as Pacha, Webster Hall, Stage 48, and Amazura Music Hall. If that wasn’t enough, he also made a big impact in Los Angeles when he relocated there seven years ago. Moving to LA was a truly special opportunity for Meetch, who really got to take his career to the next level. He plays monthly shows at venues such as Catch One, Avalon Hollywood & so many more. He is a regular at many underground venues, and over the years, has become a sought-after and well-respected DJ in the local scene.
