MC Gimmick (NL)

MC Gimmick, better known as Ivan ‘t Zand is 22 years young – born in Voorburg and had music influences around him as long as he can remember. At the age of 16 he came in contact with ”house music” and he was immediately addicted. He started grabbing the mic at school parties and soon was offered a residency in several clubs in his hometown. From this moment on his career skyrocketed going from the mediocre parties, to the big events like Nope is Dope or Mysterious in Maassilo, Queensday in The Sand and none the less the notorious Starbeach at Chersonissos. Some of the big names MC Gimmick had the pleasure of performing together with, are: Hardwell, Shermanology, Sidney Samson, Billy the Kit, Vato Gonzalez, La Fuente, Erick E, Lady Bee, Roul and Doors, Franky Rizardo and so much more. If you would ask him how he could be described on stage: “Explosive! I aim for the climax of a track, building up energy in the crowd till the drop comes and then letting it go like a bomb – and if possible maintaining that surge of energy as long as possible until WE can explode again”. – Would be his answer.
