Marta Salogni (IT)
Marta Salogni is a Grammy nominated and Mercury Prize winning engineer, producer and mixer working from her own Studio Zona, in London.
Artists she’s worked with include Depeche Mode, Björk, Sampha, M.I.A, Bon Iver, Black Midi, Ela Minus, Lucrecia Dalt, Romy, Jayda G, Westerman, Porridge Radio, Animal Collective, Holly Herndon, bar italia, HAAi, KARYYN, NYX, Dreamwife, Daniel Avery, Circuit des Yeux, Planningtorock, Lafawndah, Philip Selway, Desire Marea, Duval Timothy.
This year’s Mercury Prize winning album ‘This Could Be Texas’ by the band English Teacher was produced and mixed by Marta.
In recent years she has been awarded Producer of The Year at the Italian edition of Billboard Women in Music, Breakthrough Engineer of the Year, Breakthrough Producer of the Year and MPG UK Producer of the Year at the MPG Awards.
Marta is involved in the contemporary music scene playing both composed and improvised live sets using tape machines.
She also funded and runs a charity called 'Free Youth Orchestra', which focuses on removing financial barriers between children and access to musical equipment, by providing instruments and free workshops run by local musicians.
