Marcelo Goyanes (BR)
Marcelo Goyanes is a founding partner of Murta Goyanes Advogados, and a specialist in Entertainment Law and Intellectual Property for over 25 years. He owns a Master of Laws in Intellectual Property Law from the George Washington University (USA) and is a Professor in the Intellectual Property Law Postgraduate Program at PUC-Rio (Brazil) since 2003. Marcelo is the author of the law book “Topics in Intellectual Property: Trademarks, copyrights, designs, and piracy.” (Renovar 2007), coauthor of the law books “Processo Civil na Propriedade Intelectual”, Lumen Iuris 2009) and “O Direito e a Internet”, (Forense Universitária 2002), as well as the editor of the books “The Streaming Revolution in the Entertainment Industry”(Frukt Source, 2015) and “The Monetization of the Global Music Business – from Creators to Major Industry” (Frukt Source, 2016). Marcelo is currently the Vice-President of the Brazilian Association of Industrial Property Agents, and his work has being recognized in several international guides such as Chambers Global, WTR, and Who’s Who Legal for more than a decade.
