Timo Lejeune and Julius Oosting, who find their roots in design, architecture, and engineering, are directing Lumus Instruments, a multidisciplinary studio that works with light, sound, and structure in installation art and scenography.

Their work explores how computational technology physically manifests and affects human experience, creating immersive installations that evoke timelessness and radical realism. Since its conception in 2018, the work of Lumus Instruments has been exhibited at a variety of international exhibitions and left its mark on the festival and club scene in the Netherlands. Their work has appeared at Fiber Festival (2024), Himmel Unter Berlin (2023–2024), Monopol Berlin (2023–2024), Uncloud NL (2023), Schemerlicht Festival (2021), Draaimolen Festival (2023-2024), Lofi (2019-2024), Dekmantel (2022-2023), Strafwerk (2022-2024),Wilderburg (2018-2024) and Amsterdam Dance Event (2019–2023), among others, and they have developed their own audiovisual performance concept, “Contrarium”.
