Leonieke Smit (NL)

Leonieke Smit is the founder of Liwyn Agency, based in Amsterdam, and a prominent figure in the music industry with over two decades of experience. She began her career in 2002 at 1Management after earning a degree in Leisure Management. Quickly rising through the ranks, Leonieke became co-owner of 1Management, where she played a pivotal role in shaping the careers of (inter)nationally renowned artists. She was responsible for securing global bookings for notable DJs such as Fedde le Grand, Bingo Players, Erick E, Funkerman, Sidney Samson, and Gregor Salto. In addition, Leonieke was instrumental in the success of the Sneakerz concept, an acclaimed music event series.

Over the past 23 years, Leonieke has been a key force in the career development of more than 60 artists, representing many of them exclusively on a global scale. Her vast industry knowledge and expertise have solidified her reputation as a leader in artist representation.

Through Liwyn Agency, Leonieke continues to represent both national and international artists, including Roog, Erick E, David Penn, and Low Steppa. The agency collaborates closely with promoters, club owners, corporate clients, and festivals across the Benelux region and beyond.

In addition to her work with Liwyn, Leonieke is the driving force behind the new concept *History of House*. Together with Housequake (Roog & Erick E), she organizes large-scale indoor and outdoor events in the Netherlands, including sold-out shows at Paradiso Amsterdam and festivals at NDSM, bringing the rich legacy of house music to audiences nationwide.
