Laurence Malice (GB)

Speaker
Without a doubt Laurence Malice revolutionised the London club scene with the UK’s first ground-breaking legal after hours club, Trade, which pushed lots of boundaries when it first opened it's doors in 1990. Trade resided weekly at Turnmills for 12 years and in that time released a weighty selection of CD compilations as well as single releases on it's own record label. In 2002 Laurence Malice went on to open Egg London, a multi award-winning club venue, which has gained a reputation for being one of London's best clubs. As Creative Director and general overseer, Laurence’s keen clubbing eye for quality music and amazing decor, has seen Egg showcase some of the world’s leading DJs including Jeff Mills, Solomun, Nina Kraviz, Laurent Garnier, Frankie Knuckles (RIP), Danny Tenaglia, Art Dept, Dubfire, Green Velvet, Nicole Moudaber, Guti and Gui Boratto, as well as hosting some of the capital’s most cutting-edge parties including Amnesia, DJ Mag Sessions, FACT Barcelona, Mobilee, No 19 Watergate and Yusef’s Circus night. Constantly evolving Egg London has just added a massive warehouse style Main Room to its Garden space, which also includes three other Rooms, two Terraces, and club within-the-club, Apothecary. With an ever-growing team working on events and club nights, Egg is not dissimilar to a cooperative and its unique set of promoters bring something extra to the mix which keeps things fresh and exciting - no one dimensional programming here.
