Kypski (NL)

Kypski started out as a sixfold Dutch scratching champion and dj, but eventually followed his heart, and entered the realms of sound design, composition, beat making and music production. The turntable is his main musical instrument, on which his thirst for innovation is expressed. Then, he toured the world with his now inactive group C-Mon & Kypski. Now, Kypski has built his ‘Syntablism’ system which enables him to turntable scratch any parameter of the modular synth, and he improvises new musical works on the spot while doing so. He releases these works on the Wic Recordings music label. Heavily influenced by the likes of turntable pioneers Q-bert, D-styles and Sircut, he now has reached a level in which he can actually create new sounds and music with his turntable, instead of just manipulating existing sounds. He has finally found his own voice of true artistic expression. This voice he uses in his two current main musical collabs being Wavetabler (Wic Recordings) which is a duo consisting of Kypski and Dutch master drummer Bram Hakkens (De Staat, Kyteman Orchestra). And the other being KROON, an electronic bassmusic trio consisting of Kypski, Kubus and freshman in the beats and bass scene Hajo Krijger.
