Jim Tremayne (US)
Jim Tremayne Bio From 1990 to 2021, Jim Tremayne was Editor of DJ Times, America’s first monthly magazine for professional DJs. Since 2021, he has remained the Editor of its successor publication, DJ LIFE. Based in New York City, he’s written, edited, and assigned hundreds of stories on DJs, clubs, festivals, industry events, and equipment/technology. (www.djlifemag.com)
Since 1990, he’s been a principal organizer of DJX—America’s largest and longest-running DJ convention/exhibition. In addition to offering the DJ industry’s largest exhibit hall, the annual show presents several evening events and more than 30 seminar/panel discussions over its four days in Atlantic City, N.J. In addition to DJ Times and DJ LIFE, Tremayne has written for various newspapers and industry trade publications like Billboard, Club Systems International/Club World and Music & Sound Retailer. Raised in Columbus, Ga., he is a University of Georgia graduate, with a degree in Journalism.
