Phil Rose is an acclaimed DJ, chart-topping producer and festival promoter who has beenmaking waves in the disco and dance music scene for over a decade.Phil co-runs Midnight Riot alongside record label founder Yam Who and has been instrumentalin shaping the sound and direction of one of the world’s most-loved disco labels with hundredsof releases on vinyl and digital.
As well as co-running a hugely influential label, Phil is also a renowned producer. Working underthe names Jaegoerossa, Platinum City and Love Doves with Yam Who?, he’s had multiple hitsingles and gained support from industry heavyweights like Dave Lee, Groove Armada, TheReflex and Purple Disco Machine. His Platinum City smash-hit ‘Change’ was featured on thesame Glitterbox stream by Melvo and Horse Meat Disco, while ‘Nothing But the Music’ reachedNo. 1 on the Traxsource genre charts. And alongside label partner Yam Who?He's released onZ Records, Midnight Riot, Black riot, Quantize, and had a Traxsource Funk No.1 with guestvocalist Suki Soul.
His previous single “side of soul” was a show opener for Jamie Jones hot robot radio 083 - andis being supported globally by the likes of purple disco machine, Claptone,Dave Lee zr andyoung pulse amongst several other premier league DJ’s.
As a DJ, Phil has played at various events across Europe with a residency in verbierSwitzerland, beat herder festival, wilderness,headlining Standon Calling’s Groove Garden, TheLofts, Stardust, Festival No.6, ADE and Alfresco Festival. He’s also held down severalprestigious residencies including much-loved Newcastle disco hotspot Hoochie Coochie and atthe stunning The Refuge in Manchester for the past five years.
2023 has seen Phil continue his residency and part curator role at the Scottish house and discofestival also playing across Ibiza at Pacha’s Lio for the little disco, malanga cafe the legendarypikes for Dan princes night back to mine.
And as a promoter, he’s the man behind party series Edit, Northern festival favourite Disco InThe Park and programmes events at The Refuge’s Come As You Are parties and at Ibiza’sstunning Malanga venue. More recently, he’s also curated and played at the two-day ScottishHouse & Disco Festival alongside Greg Wilson and Craig Charles.
