Staying within one genre or style is something that doesn’t work for Interstellar Funk. There are some basics, like house and techno from Chicago and Detroit, but Interstellar Funk’s interests go a lot further. Driven by a heavy bass addiction, an unconditional love for analogue synths and a craving for dusty drums, Interstellar Funk discovers more and more old and new gems by the day. Like some other creative music lovers, Interstellar Funk doesn’t stop at just playing records; he is building his studio bit by bit and spends more and more time discovering the secrets of old dusty machinery whilst giving in to the almost magical lure of weird little machines that, in the right hands, can be more powerful then any plug-in or software program. It is never certain what the future will bring and that’s exactly why we aren’t going to guess; but there is one thing we do know for sure: Interstellar Funk is going to keep doing what he loves and we keep loving what he does.
