Greg Marshall (GB)

Greg Marshall is an independent Electronic Music Industry Consultant with a deep interest in new technologies which have the potential to solve issues or provide new opportunities within the electronic music sector.

Consulting on a number of projects across the electronic music rights, distribution, DSP and immersive audio for events sectors, and a current core focus on an initiative for Pioneer DJ / ATC to completely overhaul and revamp their KUVO service.

Previously heading up the Association for Electronic Music (2018-2022) and leading the charge on their Get Played Get Paid campaign to educate and advocate for the deployment of Music Recognition / Track ID technologies at DJ events by CMOs (Collective Rights Management Organisations) globally. The common objective being to ensure the licence fees which clubs and festivals already pay for music rights, are then accurately paid as royalties by CMOs to the creators of the music which DJs play.

With a background as a DJ and producer, a director of the LIVE trade body in the UK (Live music Industry Venues & Entertainment), as well as having extensive previous experience working within music rights organisations, I seek to bring balanced insights, broad industry relationships and solution-focused thinking to address the most challenging industry issues.

The love of electronic music, exploring new technologies, building relationships, continual learning and connecting people, brings me to ADE each year.
