Emmie Kollau (NL)

Emmie Kollau is a creative maker of podcasts and multimedia projects. With designer Tijl Akkermans she runs production house Aldus' productions and the Autres Directions Foundation. Together with a team they create committed stories in all possible forms with which they like to keep up with the spirit of the times. They work autonomously or on behalf of broadcasters, newspapers or museums, such as VPRO, NTR, NRC, HUMAN, Jewish Museum and Kamp Amersfoort. Well-known podcasts by Kollau are Hier hing een schilderij (NRC) and Lopendebandwerk (VPRO). As editor-in-chief and producer, she was also responsible for the series Buiten de Muren, De weg van de dodo and De man en de maan. Music plays an important role in all her work and she enjoys working with composers. Her first theater performance Gabbers waren we will premiere during ADE 2024, in which (hardcore) music is of course also very important. Previously, she was director of Oorzaken International Podcast Festival and worked as a researcher and reporter at various broadcasters.
