Elizabeth Transier (US)

Deciding that fish factory work in Alaska was not at all her cup of tea, Elizabeth Transier studied Roman architecture in college, designed clothes in Bali and taught English in Korea. In 1999, she went to work for IBM where she embraced business and technology. She now works in IBM Research, where she’s able to weave in her eclectic, creative past, leading the Austin Research innovation lab and various research technologies, including Watson Beat, an AI music composition engine. Elizabeth lives with her husband and two sons in the Music Capital of the World, Austin, Texas
