Dare Balogun is a multifaceted cultural strategist, DJ, producer, and co-founder of Vandelay Radio—an independent online radio station known for its eclectic programming and commitment to amplifying diverse voices. Currently serving as a Cultural Strategist at Metallic, Dare has worked on campaigns featured in i-D, The Face, HYPEBEAST, Complex, and more, always with a focus on representation and authenticity. Drawing inspiration from his Nigerian roots, Dare challenges the Western-centric narrative of “dance music,” incorporating Highlife, Makossa, Soukous, and other African genres into his sets and productions. Through his monthly show on Balamii and features on platforms like My Analog Journal, Rinse, The Lot Radio, and NTS, Dare shares these vibrant sounds, educating and engaging listeners worldwide. At Homecoming, Dare extends this mission further, fostering a global cultural exchange that bridges continents and communities.
