Dan Roy Carter (GB)
Dan Roy Carter is a British/South African entrepreneur and executive. A journalist from the age of 13, he traded writing duties with The Independent, Beatport and Dancing Astronaut for marketing consultancy roles with Spotify, Tiesto and Ministry of Sound as a student in the UK. Relocating to Stockholm in 2013 to join At Night Management as Head of Marketing & Publicity, he worked alongside AVICII, Axwell Ingrosso, Wyclef Jean, and Cazzette. Forming Unapologetic Group in 2016, he further contributed to the careers of R3HAB, Zara Larsson, T-Pain, Don Diablo, Steve Aoki, and Shermanology. He joined TikTok in 2021 as music marketing and promotion lead, launching its distribution platform SoundOn globally and then building out the teams, tools, and programs that allow artists and labels to empower their music on TikTok. He recently launched Carter Projects, a venture focussed on frontline release repertoire, international business development and catalogue marketing.
