Daan Stigter (NL)

As a Sustainability Manager at Lab Vlieland, Daan focuses on making the live sector future-proof. Last summer, he worked at Into the Great Wide Open on two sustainable mobility initiatives. The festival was the first to implement emission-free equipment for all types of local transport at the construction site. Additionally, Daan led a project aimed at promoting sustainable travel for visitors. This included research into the effectiveness of the 'goede reis toeslag,' a system that financially rewards visitors for their fossil-free journey. Lab Vlieland views festivals as catalysts, testing grounds, and platforms for sustainable solutions. They share the knowledge and seek for opportunities to scale up the impact to other festivals and the broader society.
