Calvin Khan (DE)
Calvin Khan, born in Germany, had an unusual path into the music world. Despite his love of electronic music, which he can hear with his hearing aids, he never considered becoming a DJ due to his deafness. Instead, he began an academic career and worked at a university for several years. However, during the Covid lockdown, when clubs were closed, he began experimenting as a DJ at home. What started as a hobby developed into his first gigs at outdoor raves. In 2023, he played in renowned underground venues in Hamburg such as the “Rote Flora” and the “Fabrique” (Gängeviertel) and was already gaining international experience in clubs in Bali (Indonesia).
In June 2024, he successfully completed his participation in the sub_bar Academy, where he learned to produce music based on sub frequencies only. In July he had his first live performance in Berlin and he is looking forward to more opportunities.
