Bethany Amber Andrzejak (GB)
Bethany is a Rotterdam based programmer / curator / promoter, whose work revolves around exploring and building a framework for decentralised, non-hierarchical and decolonial ways of programming within the cultural sector. Working first and foremost for Le Guess Who? but besides this currently also contributing to MOMO Festival, they centre their practice around ‘radical programming’ and the redistribution of resources from within the current institutional structures towards spaces built for and by grassroots collectives & communities. Their journey towards working as a programmer / curator / promoter started ten years ago when they themselves were active within the realms of grassroots organising. Bethany has an academic background in Gender & Postcolonial Studies and is currently pursuing a masters degree in Cultural Musicology whilst simultaneously advising several festivals and platforms on how to navigate programming in such a way that “radically” restructures the status quo of industry norms.
