Benji B (GB)

Benji B is a DJ and broadcaster from London, UK. He has presented an influential radio show on BBC Radio 1Xtra for the past 10 years since the station's launch in 2002. As a DJ he is known for playing music from the entire spectrum of soulful music, primarily hip hop, house, soul, electronic, Detroit techno, dubstep, boogie, disco and more. Prior to this, he had produced Gilles Peterson's shows at both Kiss FM from 1995 and then eventually at Radio 1. Benji B has been DJing for fifteen years and plays all over the globe all year round.
Benji is also the resident at the monthly club night he runs in London called Deviation. The Deviation night regularly showcases famous DJs and producers, such as Sa-Ra Creative Partners, Skream, Mark Pritchard, Moodymann, Mala, Marc Mac, MJ Cole, and was the first night in Europe at which Flying Lotus and Dâm-Funk played. There have been one-off Deviation nights at Fabric featuring Madlib and J-Rocc and in Madrid, Spain. In March 2010 the night moved from its home at Gramaphone to CAMP on Old Street.
