bebe bad (GB)
Bebe Bad (she / her) plays pick 'n' mix party music. Drawing from her UK roots, her sets span from pounding electro and bubbling synths to d&b, a hefty dose of bass and whatever else finds its way on to her teddy bear USB. Cutting her teeth on the airways at Balamii and Red Light Radio, she's since taken her playful sets to dancefloors across Europe playing at De School, Wilderburg, Glastonbury and heaps more. She’s shared stages with Ki/Ki, Identified Patient, Bambounou, Roni and many more artists also pushing forward the sound of the underground.
Community and collaboration is at the core of bebe’s dancefloor ethos. This year she launched Freï, a quarterly party that fosters a femme-focused community to try to broaden the scope of traditionally masc-dominated nightlife and diversify dancefloors.
Bebe's selections swing from bass chasing rhythms and cheeky melodies before dipping back into the depths, find her lip syncing to edits at festival stages and sweaty basements across Europe.
When she's not on the dancefloor or behind the decks bebe works as a documentary filmmaker choosing to focus on films that spotlight communities and historically underrepresented narratives.
